Our employees have been accident free since October 2008.  Management would like to congratulate employees and show how proud we are of their success in this area.  Does anyone have any experience with posting banners, signs, etc. for this type of situation.  We were talking about a sign that could change monthly if they have continued success in this area.  Thank you for your suggestions!

We have an electronic safety scoreboard that keeps track of the days that are lost time accident free. (www.sa-so.com keywords safety scoreboard). It is a great way to communicate to the whole shop and visitors your continued success. It updates daily so it makes record keeping easier as well.

At YIP we have an electronic Board that posts days without a LTA. We offer our employees 1 days vacation for each 365 consecutive days without a LTA.

We also use the electronic board for days without lost time accidents. We celebrate every 250 days with a lunch/dinner for the teams. Every 500 days we do the lunch/dinner with a small gift. Every 1000 days a special celebration with a very nice catered meal, larger gift and take a photo to commenrate the event. We then get the photo nicely framed and hang a copy in our conference room for customers to see and one in our break room for our employees. We are currently over 3,200 days without a lost time accident.

At 21st CPC we have a dry erase board that a person updates daily with days worked without a lost time accident. For every quarter without a lost day we host a pizza party for all four of our shifts. In the month of June for National Safety month we had a cookout for all shifts. We have purchased a pre-printed sign in the past to celebrate our safety success. In June we made our own sign on the company colored plotter which looked very nice.
