Looking for ideas to reward our long term employees, specifically the 20 & 25 year milestones?

For employees of this tenure, the company president hosts the employee and spouse / significant other for a very nice dinner with the manufacturing manager and department supervisor (and spouses).  The employee and spouse are treated as if they are our number one customer.  (Since employees are just as important as customers.)

When our employees reach their 20 year anniversary we look for something special for that employee. We often speak with their spouse to find out what they like to do. We have had them take race car driving lessons, we sent one to Disneyworld with their spouse. We sent one empluoyee and their significant other to the Datona 500. We supplied materials for one employee to build a deck onto thier house. By making the gift unque we feel it means even more to them. Our normal range is $2500.00

Recognition can come in many forms, we have a variety of ways to appreciate our employees. For example, day to day recognition may take the form of walking out on the plant floor and saying "well done" or a memo of appreciation in their file to recognize extra effort. T-shirts and polo shirts are also awarded after 90 days of service to our team.

In the past we have held an employee banquet with spouse to recognize years of service, a gift certificate and a custom made Company service pin. The firm that we use for recognition pins made with our logo is Terryberry.
