DeKALB Molded Plastics (www.dekalbplastics.com) is seeking an Operations Manager.
Major Functions: Assists in developing and maintaining a business plan and directs and coordinates activities concerned to achieve profit. Implements and monitors management directions for the company that most adequately meet the needs of each major constituency served by the company including customers and employees consistent with company policy.
Primary focus of this position is to plan, organize and direct the manufacturing operations, materials, quality, industrial engineering and maintenance, in a manner which assures the most effective return on assets employed.
Specific Requirements:
•Minimum of 10 years supervisory/ management experience necessary
•Minimum of 5+ years plant management experience in an injection molding facility preferred or equivalent experience
•The ability to motivate and grow teams through training, development, discipline and performance review
•Solid leadership and communication skills, both verbal and written, and computer proficiency are a must
•Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to use and analyze information in order to establish priorities, plan workloads and resource allocation.
•Bachelors Degree in Business or Engineering required - prefer MS/MA/MBA
•Profit and Loss (P&L) and administrative management experience
•Continuous process improvement background (six sigma, lean, manufacturing,5S)
•Proficiency and understanding of material planning systems, shop floor control systems and safety and OSHA standards for a manufacturing environment
•Knowledge of ISO-9000 required
