PLASTIKON Industries, located in Hayward, California, is a plastic injection molding supplier with extensive capabilities to customize any engineering, tooling, molding and manufacturing needs. The Quality Assurance Manager will develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine present standards and established proposed quality and reliability expectancy of finished product. Formulates and maintains quality control objectives and coordinates objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other management team members to maximize product reliability. Directs workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure continuous control over materials and products. Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to product quality and reliability. Is the Management Representative for all Quality Management Systems and post production feedback/initiatives and works directly with customers to define requirements, solve quality issues and to promote a positive working environment. Position is responsible for developing long range and annual plans. Leadership is key and requires a blend of both strategic and tactical approaches to quality.
Requirements
- 10 years experience in a management role within a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor's Degree (MBA preferred) in Engineering/Sciences
- Experience in production/engineering of injection molding plastics
- Risk management
- Validations and qualifications of IQ, PQ, OQ
- Supplier Quality/Audit Certifications
- Business Systems - ISO 13485 (21 CFR 820); TS 16949
- Statistical analysis (DOE and SPC)
- Experience in utilizing lean manufacturing principles / TPS
- Strong team player and motivated problem solver
- Strategic vision and understanding of company goals
- Ability to promote and foster a diverse working environment
- Good communications skills
- PC proficient
