How did you become involved in the plastics industry?

My father worked with Thogus for 35 years, retiring as CFO.

What is your favorite part about your current role?

Working with fantastic team members and clients.

What has been your proudest moment at your current organization?

Earning my Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.

At work, what are you most known for among your colleagues?

Bad Dad Joke Telling. Why did the cross-eyed teacher get fired? Because they couldn't control their pupils.

How do you define success?

To me, business success is the ability to (1) establish realisitic goals, (2) document effective plans for reaching the goals, (3) committing to plans and finally (4) achieving desired outcomes (or close to them).

What book are you currently reading?

Measure What Matters by John Doerr. Great book for understanding how to establish meaningful metrics.

What other groups or organizations are you active in?

Youth Soccer. Cub Scouts. Junior Golf.

What is one thing about you that others would be surprised to learn?

I used to race cars with Emerson Newton-John in the late 90's (nephew to Olivia Newton-John). When Olivia when fly into races, I would pick her up from the airport. Nothing better than Olivia Newton-John singing along to the radio in the backseat of your car.

If you weren't in the plastics industry, what would you be doing?

I was a mortgage banker in a former life. I would probably go back to something in the financial sector.

What is your favorite thing or story about the MAPP organization?

It was truly special to have my brother (Ryan) and I invited to present at the 2018 MAPP Conference since I do not see him often.

How have you received value from the MAPP organization? What are the greatest benefits you currently receive?

The greatest value I receive from MAPP is the fantastic collaboration with other members. Everyone understands that we need to work together if we are to keep manufacturing stateside. MAPP does a wonderful job providing the arena for this to occur.
