What is your favorite part about your current role?
Working with our employees on issues big and small
What has been your proudest moment at your current organization?
Having our insurance broker be recognized within our company and supply base as the 2018 supplier of the year. It was a culmination of lots of effort to develop and grow that relationship and its total value to the company.
At work, what are you most known for among your colleagues?
Being the person that they can come to with issues both related to other employees or their actual position.
How do you define success?
Success to me is helping others to achieve their full potential.
What book are you currently reading?
Red Rabbit by Tom Clancy. I am working my way through the Jack Ryan series by Clancy.
What other groups or organizations are you active in?
I am involved in my local SHRM, my local school district and I am on the board of trustees at my local public library.
What is one thing about you that others would be surprised to learn?
I have been coaching high school volleyball for the past 8 years.
If you weren't in the plastics industry, what would you be doing?
If I wasn't in the plastics industry, I would probably be working the HR function within the manufacturing industry.
How have you received value from the MAPP organization? What are the greatest benefits you currently receive?
I enjoy the periodic round table phone calls that are role-specific. It is good to hear what other HR professionals in the industry and working through. Plus it is a little reassuring that others have similar struggles and successes.
