Annual MAPP Innovation Award Winners Announced

INDIANAPOLIS - - The Manufacturers Association for Plastics Processors (MAPP) officially announced the following as winners of the 2020 MAPP Innovation Award focused on Technology on the Factory Floor. This award is split into two categories to recognize plastics companies in different sales categories, those with annual sales under $15 million and those above $15 million. The winners of the 2020 Innovation Awards are:

Under $15M Annual Sales Winners:

  • 1st Place winner: Automation Plastics
  • 2nd Place: Noble Plastics
  • 3rd Place: Bamar Plastics

Above $15M Annual Sales Winners:

  • 1st Place winner: Intertech Medical
  • 2nd Place: Falcon Plastics, Tennessee
  • 3rd Place: HPC

This is the sixth year for the MAPP Innovation Award, which was established to recognize innovative solutions to common issues. The Innovation Award this year focused on the following question, “How has your company implemented technology on the plant tour to reduce waste, create standardization, eliminate confusion, increase connectivity, improve data collection and data-driven decision making, and/or increase overall workplace efficiencies?”

Nearly 30 final submissions were submitted for voting, and over 400 votes came in from industry peers to determine the winners.

The 2020 Innovation Award winners received their award and recognition at the 2020 Benchmarking and Best Practices virtual Conference, which brought in over 1,100 attendees.
