MAPP Releases 2019 Health and Benefits Report

Indianapolis, IN – The Manufacturers Association for Plastics Processors (MAPP) recently conducted its benchmarking study on health and benefits packages offered by plastics manufacturers across the United States resulting in the 2019 Health and Benefits Report. This report analyzes and highlights information on trends in health insurance and ancillary benefits.

The 2019 report also showcases historical data on health and benefits trends, such as insurance premiums, drug coverage, vision and dental insurance, life insurance and company retirement benefits.  The overall objective is to provide company executives with a comprehensive overview of current benefits packages being offered within the plastics processing sector and to understand how their organization stacks up against industry norms.

The 2019 Health and Benefits Report reveals that plastics manufacturing companies are offering more comprehensive and competitive benefits than ever before. Questions analyzed in this year’s report includes percentage increase in health insurance premiums, enrollment periods, premiums paid by employer, annual deductibles, retirement plans and other additional offerings.

“MAPP members across the country know that attracting and retaining talent means offering not just competitive salaries, but also a comprehensive benefits package. However, these benefit packages come with a hefty price tag. This report gives executives the information and data to benchmark their organizations’ benefit offerings, as well as compare cost with companies of similar size in the industry. This allows them to make smarter decisions for their employees and their companies.” said Ashley Turrell, MAPP’s membership and analytics director.
