In December of 2017, Congress passed and President Trump signed into law the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 (The Act), making numerous changes to how plastics processors are taxed. 

During this webinar, Mike Devereux of Mueller Prost, will address how the following will impact MAPP members:

  • Reduced tax rates and the elimination of corporate AMT;
  • New provisions related to accelerated depreciation;
  • Impact of tax reform on tax incentives, such as the R&D tax credit and the work opportunity tax credit (WOTC);
  • The new, flow-through deduction for partnerships, S corporations and sole proprietorships;
  • The ability for MAPP members to use the cash method of accounting;
  • The new limitations on deducting interest expenses and use of net operating losses (NOLs); and
  • The deductions that were eliminated by tax reform.
