IQMS WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM-GENERIC

Post by tbarras@westecplastics.com » Tue Jan 22, 2019 6:21 pm

We are in the process of implementing IQMS WMS and having difficulties with scanning product to generic work orders. We are being told that we must have RT for each of our 2nd ops work stations --tables, pad printers, ultrasonic welders, etc. Has anyone come up with a way to scan inventory to a work order without it being connected to RT? Thank you for your help!

Hi! I believe this is a setting under the WMS user profiles. When you mention 'scanning product to work orders', you're referring to hard allocation of materials to work orders correct? Or are you referring to scanning finished products as dispositioned against the work order?

Hi, thanks for responding. Looking for help scanning finished goods for disposition. Since our 2nd ops isn't linked to the real-time system, we can't do floor disposition. I'm being told you can't scan parts to a work order. We were scanning the completed parts which posted them to inventory but did not apply to the work order--leaving the work order open--needing more parts. sigh. Do you use WMS and do you have real-time licenses for all your secondary operations? If not, how do you apply completed product to the work order?
