For an 8 hour shift 30 minute unpaid lunch with a paid 15 minute break. 15 minute overlap on each shift to make up the 30 minutes and communication between shifts.

Until recently we offered two ten-minute paid breaks and a 30 minute unpaid lunch. Over the past few years we've had more jobs that require an operator to be at the press at all times. This year after Labor Day we switched to two paid 15-minute breaks. It's been a huge success. Everyone goes home 30 minutes earlier, which they love. And we were able to reduce labor costs because we didn't have to spend so much time breaking Operators. There are things that we had to work through, such as housekeeping. Overall it was a great move for our company.

Good morning

On 8 hours, we have a 10 minute break and a 20 minute lunch. On 10 hours we do a 20 minute break and a 20 minute lunch. On 12 hours we add an additional 10 minute break to the 10 hour schedule. Weather depending, we give additional breaks as needed. IE, 90 degrees outside, employees may need more time in the cold lunch room to rejuvenate.

Hope this helps.
