Yushin America has an immediate opening in Cranston, RI for a reliable and responsible individual to work as a team member in the production of custom machined components. This position requires frequent input on estimated run-times for quoting purposes, and a willingness to provide machining support for other departments. This position’s time will likely be spent 65% programming and scheduling, 25% set up, 10% machine operation
Candidates must have 3 to 5 years of experience in CNC set-up, CNC operation and CNC programming. The candidate must also have a strong understanding of machining fundamentals and machine shop best practices; the ability to write, set up and program on a CNC machine to mill a variety of different parts and materials to print specifications using a Fanuc control (material machined primarily included cold rolled steel, aluminum and plastics); the ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment; wear required personal protective equipment; read complex prints; work from prints, oral instructions and solid models to formulate programs; select tooling and material from storage; fasten tool into specified tool holders; machine varying quantities of parts on time including verifying part conformance to specification (most components are custom quantities and are low ranging from 1 to 10 pieces).
Candidates with experience in Cam Works software to program CNC milling centers, experience with conversational programming and the ability to keep three machines busy is required.
In addition, candidates must have strong organizational skills and experience with scheduling parts for production in a job shop type environment; be self-motivated with a positive, customer-focused attitude.
