How did you become involved in the plastics industry?

first, summer job working in shipping. Joined current company in 1984 as a quality inspector

Working with our team to overcome challenges.

What has been your proudest moment at your current organization?

Leading the growth and meeting financial goals for the past decade.

At work, what are you most known for among your colleagues?

Being hands-on but letting our leaders make their own decisions. Having a good sense of humor and keeping things in perspective

How do you define success?

Same as John Wooden. The peace of mind attained that you put in the effort to become the best of your ability. Same criteria for operator to CEO

What book are you currently reading?

Talking to Strangers by Malcom Gladwell. I've enjoyed all of his books.

What other groups or organizations are you active in?

IMDA - In-Mold Decorating Association

What is one thing about you that others would be surprised to learn?

I get moved to tears quite easily during movies or inspiring stories on the news, etc

If you weren't in the plastics industry, what would you be doing?

I have no idea. My dad owned a car dealership but selling cars was not in my nature. Probably doing something else in manufacturing

What is your favorite thing or story about the MAPP organization?

We are relatively new to the organization but it seems to be great for connecting those with the same passion and creating leverage for mid to small size molders

How have you received value from the MAPP organization? What are the greatest benefits you currently receive?

We got really good feedback from our people who attended the Benchmarking Conference last year. We have used the discount on RJG training
