How did you become involved in the plastics industry?

I began my career selling decorative components including appliques, nameplates, emblems, etc. With the onset of decorative injection molding technologies such as in-mold decorating, painting, laser etching, etc it naturally led me down the path of Injection Molding.

What is your favorite part about your current role?

I have spent the last 18 months transforming ever aspect of Automation Plastics ranging from systems, procedures, operations, culture, aesthetics, branding and sales. The greatest reward is seeing the results and the positive change in the organization.

What has been your proudest moment at your current organization?

The entire organization worked toward our transformation and seeing the completed results is my proudest moment.

How do you define success?

I define success as making positive changes to organizations, people, customers and culture while continually driving for for more.

What book are you currently reading?

Although an old book, I am a big advocate of the "good to great" concept.

IQMS user groups

What is one thing about you that others would be surprised to learn?

My original passion and educational pursuit was in Computer Science.

If you weren't in the plastics industry, what would you be doing?

Computer Science or "Flipping Houses"

What is your favorite thing or story about the MAPP organization?

The MAPP "Community" is very integrated and open to sharing. MAPP does a great job and facilitating these forums and cultivating the "Sharing" and "Helping" culture.
