How did you become involved in the plastics industry?
Former client of mine owned a plastics manufacturing company and had available position in the company. I jumped at the opportunity 5 years ago and become involved in the plastics industry. I haven't looked back since!
What is your favorite part about your current role?
The daily strategy/planning on growth of our company and how every department plays a role in our plan.
What has been your proudest moment at your current organization?
Leading our ERP team to successful launch and go live with IQMS (our current ERP system). It was a lot of hard work, but we are reaping the benefits everyday with this software and it is making our company better.
At work, what are you most known for among your colleagues?
Problem-solver and good listener.
How do you define success?
Accomplishing a pre-determined goal either individually or together as a team. Learning from mistakes and accomplishments to help make the next success even better.
What book are you currently reading?
The 4 Disciplines of Execution by Chris McChesney. I started to read this before Chris was announced at the conference and really looking forward to hearing him talk now! This is a non-paid plug, this guy is amazing!!

What is one thing about you that others would be surprised to learn?
I play percussion (drums) and actively play in a concert band.
If you weren't in the plastics industry, what would you be doing?
Hmmm, good question. Being Chief Strategy Officer or Operating Officer to a growing company.
What is your favorite thing or story about the MAPP organization?
My favorite thing about MAPP is the continuous relationship building opportunity and the sharing of information between everyone. Companies that belong to MAPP truly want to get better and learning how to get better with everyone.
How have you received value from the MAPP organization? What are the greatest benefits you currently receive?
Getting off the sidelines and getting involved. I am a part of the Young Professionals group and actively participate in group discussions throughout the year. I want to help make our company better, but also give back where I can and return the favor. This is the greatest benefit I receive.
