In my experience weigh counting is a problem and 100% accuracy is rarely easy to achieve. We have one product that has to have an exact count and weigh scales just aren't accurate enough so we stack the part in stacks of 10 and manually count like counting pennies. Our insurance underwriter says that one risk in molding is a small atomized leak of hydraulic oil catching fire. He proposed two solutions. 1. You must test to establish a baseline, but if you pass that test you do not need to test on a regular basis unless something changes. We process about 300,000 Lbs. of rigid PVC and PVC/ABS blend per year. Up to 720 Ton. We have many years of experience with rigid and flexible PVC.
