About the Young Professionals Network

Mission:

To create a forum of communication for MAPP current and future leaders, influencing MAPP leadership to better prepare these leaders with the necessary skills and knowledge to make an impact.

Vision:

A community of young leaders with a common goal to encourage one another, propel their respective businesses forward, and challenge manufacturers to improve and prepare for the future. 

Qualifications for Members:

• Currently employed by a MAPP member company
• Under the age of 40 years old
• Committed to personal and professional growth
• Interested in networking, sharing and growing with other industry peers

Members of MAPP’S YP Network:

• Organize at least one event for MAPP or MAPP’s YP Network
• Participate in networking, leadership and development opportunities
• Complete at least one large project per year that impacts MAPP and/or the industry
• Have the opportunity to sit on a committee
• Gain access to industry mentors
• Have a special pre-conference session at the annual Benchmarking and Best Practices Conference
• Network with other like-minded young professionals

Structure:

The MAPP’s YP Network is made up of hundreds of industry young professionals from MAPP member organizations.

The YP Network is led by a Young Professional Board, comprised of YP members. Meetings are held quarterly at either in-person events or virtual conference calls. Committees will be formed on an as-needed basis and may contain an unlimited number of members. These individuals volunteer their time and talents to help create a network that services young professionals and the plastics industry!
